Rose Sherbet – An Indispensable part of Turkish Cuisine for Centuries

Sherbet has been an indispensable part of Turkish cuisine for centuries. You can easily prepare delicious sherbets which are both healing and delicious for the body in Ramadan and offer them at iftar and sahur tables. Be sure to welcome this sherbet to your iftar table with its delicious smell and flavor, feasting on the palates and exquisite smell to the table.

Ingredients

 

    • 15-20 scented pink roses
    • 5-6 poppies
    • 5-6 teaspoons lemon salt
    • Enough water
    • Enough powder sugar

 

How to Prepare?

Cut the white bottom of the rose and the black bottom of the poppy. After washing thoroughly, strain and fill in the jar. Put water and lemon salt on it. Cover it and leave it for 15 days in a place exposed to the sun. When used, add 1 and a half tablespoon of granulated sugar to 1 cup of water and mix. Add the rose syrup as much as you like and serve with ice.
